
Preclearance Approval Letter for Ministers of Religion
A preclearance procedure applies to both visa-required and non-visa-required non-EEA nationals seeking entry to Ireland as a Minister of Religion. This procedure is subject to periodic review by the Department of Justice.
Requirement for Preclearance Approval
To be granted permission to enter and work in Ireland as a long-stay Minister of Religion, an applicant must present a valid Preclearance Approval Letter.
Eligibility and Duration
- Approved applicants may stay in Ireland for up to three years, provided they can demonstrate a genuine need for their services.
- All applicants must comply with all applicable immigration requirements.
Mandatory Preclearance for Non-EEA Nationals
All non-EEA nationals (both visa-required and non-visa-required) must obtain preclearance from Immigration Service Delivery (ISD) under the Department of Justice and Equality before traveling to Ireland to work as a Minister of Religion.
Application Process

Entry Restrictions Without Preclearance
